Colors of Pakistan – Street Art in a Village of Pakistan (Part 1/4)

Pakistan, the land of miracles, beauty, and purity, is impressively blessed with unconditional natural beauty as well as God gifted talent. People of Pakistan love to express their patriotism and nationalism through different ideas. Pindusltani is a well-known village of Punjab that is located in the Attock district. People of Pindsultani took the initiative of repositioning the walls of the village from traditional advertisements and political slogans to social welfare and public awareness messages. Colorful walls of the village spread positivity and wakefulness that provides food for thought for the locals. Atiq ur Rehman, one of the local of Pindsultani, is the master creative mind of the entire wall painting campaign. He is leading the entire activity along locals and hired the painter from the neighboring village. FiazAnjum is the famous local painter who belongs from Domail that is the neighboring village of Pindsultani. Fiaz is a very talented and hardworking street art painter, who is capable enough to inspire the viewers and successfully transfer his message through his beautiful street wall murals. In contemporary wall art, the message of unity of the founding father of the nation Mr. Muhammad Ali Jinnah known as Quaid-e-Azam can be witnessed through a representation of all provinces of Pakistan along with an illustration of the national flag. The Pindsultani village has its first and only public library that was initiated by the local guy and social mobilizer, Atiq ur Rehman. Atiq took the initiative to reintroduce the useful and very important habit of reading. In the Pindsultani Public Library, there are hundreds of free books for the local public that were all arranged by the owner of this library. With the passage of time, there are dozens of book donors who donate books on a regular basis for community-serving. In the contemporary wall mural, there is an open invitation for the common public to come and visit the Pindsultani Public Library and become a part of book reading.
