I have recently moved to Rawalpindi and went to dine at Bukhara on Saturday. We have an askari platinum card as well as an askari gold credit card which offered a 50% discount on dinning. The askari website said that the max discount amount will...be Rs 5000 but 3 transactions per card can be availed. I am not being allowed topost the link of askari bank deals but you can check there. There were 4 of us so once we were done we requested the manager to make two transactions which he refused. We requested to talk to the Food & Beverage manager overall at the hotel (not sure if we spoke to him or someone else) who was quite rude on the phone. He told some cock and bull story that multiple transactions cannot be done which they should clarify to Askari Bank and they are unable to cancel the bill (which had not been printed as of yet) as the tab had already been opened. I have worked with the Westin Hotel in USA and I know that cancelling a transactions requires less than one second and a new one can be formed. But of course hotels in Pakistan only claim to be 5, 6 and 7 star yet will not follow the practices. I will be getting in touch with Askari bank as well.More

Reception staff is very friendly helping and professional. PC Location, service, rooms and bathroom cleanness were good very hygienic. Bukhara is expected to synonym with good food, nice ambience and excellent service; being part of a five star Hospitality chain. However, like other amenities of Pearl Continental Hotel,,Rawalpindi, Bukhara also failed to impress me miserably. The Restaurant claims to serve BBQ dinner buffet, nonetheless,...the menus falls much below the expectations, lacking variety as well. BBQ included only chicken items and one beef item with no hot favourite dishes. Additional items included some random Pakistani dishes, but not of great taste, except Beef Paya and chicken tawa which was of some quality. Salads were however good. Dessert section also lacked the quality and variety and all dessert items looked and tasted almost same. Gulab Jaman was perhaps the only hit. Paying around Pak Rupees 2300 for such food is a bit towards higher side. A word about ambience. It is established in an informal way and I couldn’t find anything catchy here.
